Martin L. Heavner is an award-winning photographer working from Frederick, Maryland, and the Bedford Valley, Pennsylvania, near Cumberland. He exhibits his prints regionally and publishes images in magazines and calendars.

Latest News: My latest show, "Silent Footsteps: Meditations and Meanderings", opens Friday, September 11, at the Stephanie Ann Roper Gallery on the campus of Frostburg State University. The multi-media show also features the work of my good friend and artist Dr. Bud McElfish. Gallery hours are very limited: Wednesdays through Fridays, 1 - 4 p.m.. Masks are required.

Also: Three photos -- "Cheesemonger", "Naxos Potter Yia Yia", and "Cascade of Life" -- received awards in the July 2020 Art in Nature photography contest sponsored by the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art at Salisbury (MD) University. In addition, "Grand Central Shield" was accepted into the 2020 FCC Juried Show sponsored by the Frederick (MD) Camera Clique. Finally, "Cascade of Life" and "Shake Shack Tableau" were accepted for the 6th annual Allegany National Photography Competition and Exhibition sponsored by the Allegany Arts Council in Cumberland, MD.
